Roots and Fruit: An Introduction to the Christian Faith is a book of poems for those who wonder what Christianity is all about.
In these pages, the reader will encounter the most important stories from the Bible: God's creation of the world, the fall of humanity, God's salvation of the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt, the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and more. In these stories, we meet great heroes and heroines of the Christian faith: Joseph, Moses, Mary, John, and others.
Paralleling the biblical stories are explanations of how these stories form the beliefs and practices of Christians, from the doctrines of the Trinity and the incarnation to practices like prayer and communion.
